Yikes! It's Zombies Ate My Neighbors, where you appear in every demented horror flick ever to make you hurl ju-jubes. The neighbors are just dying to meet you! Toe Jam & Earl for the Sega Genesis is one such game, but another prime example would be Konami's Zombies Ate My Neighbors. You have the option for an exit save, but no save states. No scan lines, no different aspect ratios, you can't even turn off the in-game boarder. There aren't many options at all actually, aside from volume and language.
They've been changed for some reason, and there's no option to change them back to the original.
My biggest beef as a fan of the original are the controls. It could just be that I set expectations based on classic collections of other franchises, like the Konami collections and Mega Man Legacy collections. I'm a little let down by this release though. Here I am cosplaying Zeke about six years and 70 pounds ago. Let me open with the fact that I'm talking about this port specifically.
